Banaan

Why
Banaan?

Train hard. Fuel smart.

Training plans tell you what the ride demands. Banaan turns that work into practical decisions about what to eat and drink.

The missing plan

The workout is specific. Fueling should be too.

Cyclists plan duration, intensity, intervals, power and race strategy.

Fueling is still often “take some gels”, one fixed carbohydrate target, guessed bottles or someone else’s routine.

Banaan connects the workout ahead with the fuel that workout requires.

The starting point

One question kept coming back.

How much do I actually need today?

An easy endurance ride is not hard intervals. Heat changes the plan. So do long gravel days and race day. Banaan makes those differences practical.

Banaan is built by Beni. He has raced for fun for more than 20 years — first on a mountain bike, now on gravel. Living with mitochondrial myopathy has made nutrition and fueling an especially important part of every ride.

Why Banaan?

Gaan met de banaan.

It is a Dutch expression with the energy of “let’s go”, “get moving” or “off we go”. The meaning is cultural, not a word-for-word translation.

That is the point: less time calculating, more time riding.

Train hard. Fuel smart. Gaan met de banaan, jonge!

How Banaan thinks

Fueling for the ride in front of you.

  1. 01

    Specific beats generic

Fueling should reflect the workout ahead.

  2. 02

    Practical beats perfect

A plan has to work on the bike, not only on paper.

  3. 03

    Learn from what happened

Completed rides and fueling feedback should make the next plan more useful.
